The openPASS mobile app provides verified clients, family members and friends with inclusive access to a client’s care plan and records in real time in the Alcedo Care PASSsystem, via a secure online connection.
The PASSsystem, which is recommended by NHS England, allows Alcedo’s homecarers to update their client’s homecare records in real time, while they are with the client, ensuring their records are fully up to date at all times.

The PASSsystem digital care planning and management platform is used by all Alcedo homecarers. It provides a single view of a client’s care records, including medication requirements, personal preferences and task changes. It automates the process of care plan assessment and enhances the efficiency and quality of the homecare Alcedo Care delivers. The PASSsystem also promotes the practice of safe medicines administration, by ensuring Alcedo homecarers are notified of any medication changes in real time.
The real time information provided by the PASSsystem also helps Alcedo Care more efficiently align the quality of care it delivers with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is important as the CQC ensures that “health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care…” It is the goal of Alcedo Care to always deliver the highest possible standards of care and the PASSsystem is an invaluable tool in helping us to achieve this.
